This story makes me squee and proud!!!!!!!!
Fear the ones that hold the title known as Kistral.
This world has learned that curiousity breeds destruction. This has been taught through each generation that goes by. The reason? The same curiousity has left the world the way it is today. It has become primitive, technology has become unbelievably primitive. The curiousity to bring the world a new species. A new species of human. This would bring unbelievable changes in the world of science. Their hypothesis was, "a new species will bring a new world. Fantasies become realities, realities seeming like fantasies. People of Earth will end up growing to new levels. More than likely, the new breeds will be smarter and more resiliant. We might end up finding ways to cure diseases that were incurable! A new world is coming..." When the experiment was done, they found out that the hypothesis was not even close to what they were expecting. In fact, it became horribly, horribly wrong...
Chapter 1 - The Born
"It has begun! The New Age of Humans!" A scientist shouted. There was a group of scientists surrounding three large tubular container. The completely white labratory that they were in was practically empty besides the containers and the scientists. The containers themselves were rather large, at least five feet in height, and 3 feet in width and it was all covered in metal, unknown what type. All that you can tell about this metal is that it was black and had a very shiny surface. Each one was right next to each other in a row against the white wall.There were about 6-7 scientists in the room, but only three seemed of any importance. Each one was standing next to one of the tubes.
The scientist on the right, a man of age but not much, perhaps around the late 40's, started speaking. He was also the one who had shouted in the first place. "Ladies and gentlemen that graced us their presence in this room. What you hear mustn't be given to the outside world just yet. The humans that we have waited for so long to create....have been created." He paused for a moment to let it sink in. "I am prepared to open this container. My two co-leagues, Dr. Yesin, Dr. Perseni, and I, Dr. Lyth, each worked on one of these new human subspecies, each unique yet relying on each other. I will explain all of this right after I open this..." He took a deep breath as everyone else anticipated for such a moment. He approached a keyboard next to the tubular container and pressed a few keys. It slowly unhatched and opened from the front.
Steps could be heard, yet not a breath was sound. Out of this container, a human-like being stepped out. She looked no older than a six year old girl. Her eyes were closed and it looked like she was asleep. Dr. Lyth placed a blanket around the girl as she was clotheless at that moment. It was if she was also born. Right before he stepped away, he punctured a hole into her left ear, and placed a strange earring into it, and clipping a chain from that earring to the top of her ear. Then he backed away a few steps, and spoke, "Awake, little one."
Her eyes suddenly opened up, bearing eyes the color of snow. Her hair was also of the same color. The others in the room gasped from an unknown feeling. In a matter of a few seconds, her hair became a platinum blonde, still near the color of white. It was when her eyes turned blood red that everyone gasped again. She turned her head to a male scientist in the room. Her eyes changed from a blank stare to pure hatred. She bore her fangs giving a low hissing growl and raised her hands to show that the child had fangs. In a split second, she had lunged at the man, sinking her fangs into his skin. It took a while before the message signaled to this man's head that he was being bitten...HARD. He started screaming, and tried to shake her up but it seemed this new "human" child also had a case of lockjaw.
Dr. Lyth held up a remote control and pressed a few buttons. The girl started shrieking in pain as she released the other scientist from her grip and fell to the floor, covering her ears and howling in pain. "I'm sorry, sir, I'm very sorry! I did not know that she would react like this from her awakening. A prediction that I couldn't make I'm afraid." He handed the man who's arm was bleeding quite a bit some bandages. "I placed a controlling device in her ear to prevent such an attack. " He directs the attention to the girl who was trying to claw the earring off. "It brings her down to the ground when I press these buttons because it limits her powers AND causes some very strong pressure points to her mind, making a very high pitched squealing sound."
He coughed a bit and looked to the injured scientist to make sure that he was fine. "As you can tell now, her unique powers are all in the power of the physical. Her strength is more normal than all of the humans in this world. I bet you at least ten times as strong."
"Fucking right..." mumbled the bitten and now irritated scientist.
"...Anyway, she has unbelievable strength, defense, almost nothing normal can scratch her, and..." He took a deep breath. "Shapeshifting....trust me, this power is more dangerous than it seems." He said this after a few snickers were heard. He approached the girl and picked her up and placed her back into the tube she came from, pressing a few keys on the keyboard, and shutting it. "Enough of her. Dr. Yesin. Present YOUR experiment."
The man standing next to the tube on the far approached the others. He was young, very young. No more than his late twenties, but you could tell that this man had an IQ that was higher than average. He didn't say much but pressed the keys next to his own container. The other scientists in the room were now a bit more nervous from the last opening but they were still eager to see what was inside. The door opened and footsteps could be heard again. Another blanket was draped over the new form.
This time it was a boy. He had snow white hair and eyes in the beginning like the other. His hair didn't change much, just got a shinier gleem to it, and it was streaked lightly with a blue. His eyes were red but not like the last child. His was more of an orange red, burning like fire. Even so, the piercing eyes were filled with no feeling. An emptyness that could haunt someone...Dr. Yesin approached the boy and placed the same type of earring that Dr. Lyth placed on the first child, and stepped back a little. This one seemed harmless...
A female shriek could be heard. It came from the Dr. Lyth's container. Dr. Lyth looked toward Dr. Yesin and said with anger in his voice, "She should have been hushed by now because I've turned off the device. What is your "child" doing to mine?!"
Dr. Yesin finally spoke for the first time since the meeting occured. "As your experimental human is of the physical essence, mine is of mentality. He can drive normal humans mad in an instant. As you can see, even your experiment can't stand up to it. The physical cannot challenge the mental. It's just not heard of. Mine is stronger than yours. He can even invade your mind and produce images that could scar you forever. He also has the power to cause someone to fall into a sleep that you cannot wake up from. Of course, he can't kill anyone...but...this doesn't mean one could be driven to such insanity that they wish to kill themselves..." He said this with a sneer. The others in the room seemed disgusted.
Lyth walked toward Yesin with glaring eyes. "I could release her out of this tube, and she can easily shred your 'experiment' into shreds. Don't doubt her powers. She can withstand your child's mental attacks, believe me. But her claws can cut through his major arteries, I'm sure of that. So tell him to leave her alone, or I WILL let her out."
The guests were starting to get real nervous from this argument. Mumblings started flying around the air out of fear. The shrieking didn't help either. Dr. Perseni, the woman of the three, tried to keep the two seperate before they attack each other. "Sirs, you must stop this!! One is not better than the other!! These arguments are not needed now!! You know how much destruction these children can leave behind!!" A loud crash brought everyone to silence. The first child had clawed her way through her container and had knocked the third container over onto it's side, and was currently trying to attack the second child. All the wires that were connected to the device was torn off. Perseni cried out, " She can't breathe without those wires!" and ran to the knocked over container, and typed in the keys quickly. It opened from the side and a child rolled out, coughing.
The white hair turned into a nightly black, and her eyes were two different colors. The left one was a lavender, and the right was a silver with ice blue speckles. Perseni placed a simple white dress over her. "Blankets are not the best thing to cover a child." As soon as she said this, the black haired child stood up, and looked toward the boy. A white flash seemed to pass through her eyes as the boy's left arm became lit aflame. He started shrieking as well as the first child, and the audience looked about ready to scream as well. The youngest girl walked over to the boy, and the white flashed passed again and the whole room started raining, and the rain drenched out the fire on the boy's arm. He stopped the screaming and slumped to the floor onto his hands and knees. The blonde child had also stopped shrieking and sunk to the floor as it seemed the earlier panic of the boy had distracted his "mind games." The whole room was silent until the youngest girl walked toward the audience and stood in front of them.
"My...name....is...Celen...." She said each word with a little difficulty.
Dr. Perseni sighed and picked up the child who named herself Celen. "Well, as you can see, she has the powers of the elemental. Perhaps she's not as strong and maybe not as manipulative, but she is probably the most useful....and not so inclined to get angry. She'll be able to conceal her emotions, but that would make her even more mysterious as you wonder what she will really do. Lyth, Yesin, leave the children alone and let them speak their names." Both the male scientists had their own experimental kid in their arms. Dr. Lyth looked toward Perseni. "Why is your child without the earring?"
"She doesn't need it." That was all she said. Lyth made a scowl but let his experiment go. She walked slowly to the audience, and she seemed to be filled with fear. It was obvious she didn't like others. "M-my...name...is...Kata-Katana." She said in a shaky voice and then ran away as quickly as she could back to Lyth. Yesin also had a scowl on his face but he sent his child up there as well. He looked around blankly. "My name is...Shen..." He said...or at least...he thought it in his mind. Everyone could hear it though.
Dr. Perseni looked at the other children and looked back to the audience, "Katana, Shen, and Celen. They are the beginning of the future." The other scientists stood up and applauded toward the three doctors. They seemed to be back to normal, not in an angered state. The children stood off to the side a bit.
"They are stupid..." Shen said in a thought to only Katana and Celen. He used telepathy to where each can read each other's thoughts.
"They are human. Of course they are stupid." Katana thought back.
"So we leave tonight like we had discussed when we were imprisoned in those shitty containers?" Shen asked.
"Of course. I'll break down any doors. You put the humans to sleep or to a state of unknown dementia. Your choice." Katana thought.
"Heh. But these earrings..."
"Celen's got that part down. I knew Perseni was weak and wouldn't put the earrings on her...Anyway, Celen will burn the remotes and any human who stand in our way...even our 'parents'. How dare Lyth place that piece of crap on my ear..."
Celen looked toward the two others and looked back toward Dr. Perseni. "You're not going to kill the doctors, are you?"
Shen and Katana looked toward Celen and stared. After a while, Shen sneered, "Aww, the baby of us don't wanna kill?"
Celen tackled Shen to the ground and placed a hand over his face. "I can instantly electrify you in a matter of seconds. I can burn you with fire or acid. I'm not afraid to kill. You mock me as if you think I am but a little child as normal humans? Couldn't you hear them outside the containers while we were developed.? They want us for dark reasons. We are just pieces to a game. We are made to kill each other...That was our sole purpose...They don't care if we kill anything else."
Shen pushed Celen off of him and rubs his mouth a little bit as the tackle made him bleed a little, "Damnit, you know I heard all of that. But I don't understand you why you want to keep them alive."
Katana replied, "Yes...what are their purpose for us?"
Celen grinned, "They can make us stronger...they're the only ones who know how. You two were asleep when they were discussing this...They said that we can't grow just yet. We'll still be these childlike forms until they give us a shot with what we need to grow. That is when..."
The doctors were heading toward the children as the other scientists had left. The presentation was over. They picked up the three children and headed toward a different room, with different containers. All the children were grinning inside as they were being locked up in newer containers....

Nevertheless a good story!
